Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads of sugar loaf chicory
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • ¼ tsp of black pepper
  • ¼ tsp  of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Wash the sugar loaf chicory and cut off the base.
  • Cut the chicory into quarters, lengthwise.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the sugar loaf chicory to the skillet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté the chicory for 8-10 minutes or until it's tender and lightly browned.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
