Ostara Honey Cakes
Soft and moist honey cakes are perfect for celebrating the arrival of spring and the Ostara holiday.
Equipment
- Muffin tin
- Mixing bowls
- Whisk

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Grease a muffin tin or line it with paper cups.
- Pour the batter evenly into the muffin cups.
- If desired, sprinkle some cinnamon on top of each cake.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cake comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool for a few minutes in the tin, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
