Helen Rennie’s Pasta Recipe
A simple and flavorful pasta recipe featuring garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and parsley.
Equipment
- Large skillet
- Large pot
- colander
Ingredients
- 1 pound of your preferred pasta
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ tsp of red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp of lemon juice
- ¼ cup of chopped parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until it's al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice and chopped parsley to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the sauce.
- Toss the pasta in the sauce until it's evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Optional: sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
