Duck Egg Quiche

Ingredients
- 1 prepared pie crust
- 4 duck eggs
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyere or Swiss)
- 1 cup diced vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, onions, etc.)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, chives, etc.)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the prepared pie crust and gently press it into a pie dish, trimming any excess dough.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the duck eggs and milk or cream until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the pie crust. Add the diced vegetables and chopped herbs on top.
- Slowly pour the egg and milk mixture over the filling, ensuring even distribution.
- Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese over the top.
- Place the quiche in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
