Beef Broccoli Hawaii Recipe
A delicious fusion of Chinese and Hawaiian cuisine featuring tender beef, crispy broccoli, and sweet pineapple, all stir-fried in a savory ginger and garlic sauce.
Equipment
- Skillet or wok
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic.
- Add the sliced beef to the bowl and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli and pineapple chunks. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve over rice or noodles and enjoy!

- For a low-carb option, skip the rice or noodles and serve over cauliflower rice.
- To save time, chop the broccoli and pineapple ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- To make the dish gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce.
